Paul speaks: "The two "don't miss" rides are Roar! and the Dinosaur Adventure. Roar! has a height requirement (48" and enforced). This is a great ride, combining the best of the old-time wood coaster feel with the best of modern thrill rides. Exceptionally well done, and worth the wait! The park designers did a very intelligent thing. Next to the Roar line is a ride for the little ones. So, while Jenna, David and I were waiting in line for Roar, Mom and the wee ones could wait right outside the exit and ride the Wave Jumper (similar to D-land's Dumbo ride, but with Orcas). The second "don't miss" is the Dinosaur Adventure ride. It's a virtual roller coaster, so the smaller children CAN ride and experience the same roller coaster feel without the danger. Plus the dinosaurs look real."
Julie adds: "If you have little ones, make Looney Tunes Seaport your first stop. The rides are well laid out, attractive and definitely age-appropriate. The ride operators are very strict on the 48" and under height requirement, ensuring that the teen and pre-teen crowds avoid it. That makes it considerably more relaxing for those of us with younger children. My kids would have spent the whole day here if I had not insisted we visit the rest of the park. I'm so glad I did. The killer whale show was the definite highlight of the day, for EVERYone. The "enter-trainers" did a superb job and the orca was a real show-off, all playing to the crowd. If you have teens, have them sit in the lower right hand seats -- they'll have a great time being part of the show, and they'll get soaked. The dolphin show was okay, but a little difficult to see. |
